Tekkon Kinkreet
The link provided on the top of this text refers to the trailer of 'Tekkon Kinkreet', a 2D animation made in Japan.
Few weeks ago I watched this movie and it surprised me. according to my opinion this is the one of the best 2D animations in recent years. It provides a new style that I have never seen before.
It uses 2D characters, simple and vivid. Also the background is a part that attracts me most.
From the pictures present above, you can see that the background of this animation is very meticulous and also looks like 2D background, but actually, it is created by 3D. Designers used 2D mapping to make these 3D models look like 2D.
After I watched this movie, I became deeply in love with it, especially with creation of such backgrounds.
Then I had a idea to use the 2D mapping to creat my project.
